THE BAKERY DISTRICT

This historical preservation project in Fort Smith, AR is still one of our favorite projects to date. The building was originally a bakery (Shipley Baking Co), and the client really wanted to preserve the history in every aspect possible. From the original brick walls to clay floors, the history of the building is seen throughout every space.

The Bakery District is now used to bring people together through events, programs, food/drink, and gatherings. The silos were painted by Hilda Pallafox Poni, an incredible graffiti artist who really brought the exterior gathering space to life!
